Pumpkin picking Wales 2026

Pick-your-own pumpkins in Wales: our 2026 guide to pumpkin patches across South Wales, West Wales, Mid Wales and North Wales, including the Cardiff, Newport and Swansea areas, with the best farms and opening notes.

What to expect

Wales has a growing number of genuine pick-your-own patches, from free-entry fields near Cardiff to family farms in Pembrokeshire and on Anglesey. Many grow their own pumpkins and add maize mazes, sunflowers and food. October weekends and the half-term are busiest.

When is the pumpkin picking season?

Pumpkin season in Wales runs through October, opening from the first or second weekend and peaking over the late-October half-term and Halloween. Welsh weather can be wet, so wellies are sensible, and you should check the farm’s own website or Facebook page for this year’s dates before travelling.
