What to expect

Yorkshire has a strong set of pumpkin patches, from large farm-park events near Leeds and Sheffield to free-entry fields in the Yorkshire countryside. Many grow their own pumpkins and add mazes, play barns and food. October weekends and the half-term are busiest, and ticketed farms can sell out.

When is the pumpkin picking season?

Pumpkin picking in Yorkshire runs through October, opening from the first or second weekend and peaking over the late-October half-term and Halloween. Check each farm’s website or Facebook page for this year’s dates before you travel.
