The Picking Patch at Pyle, near Porthcawl in Bridgend, South Wales, is a free-entry pick-your-own pumpkin field with around 10 acres of pumpkins. This Picking Patch is at Tycoch Farm, Mount Pleasant Road, Pyle, a village just inland from Porthcawl in the Bridgend county borough of South Wales. It is one of two Picking Patch UK sites (the other is at Bickton, near Fordingbridge in Hampshire).

Pumpkin Picking at Porthcawl

You take a wheelbarrow into around 10 acres of growing pumpkins and pick your own from about 20 varieties, including traditional orange, white and green pumpkins, munchkins and specialist types. Entry and parking are free, and you pay only for what you pick, with prices by size from around £1.50. Wellies are recommended as it is a working field. There are food and drink stalls on site, and a maize maze and sunflower field earlier in the season.

The patch runs from around mid-October through Halloween, walk-in with no booking needed for picking. Entry is free and you pay only for the pumpkins you pick.
