Pumpkin Jim’s is an independent family pick-your-own at Grange Road, Ickleton, near Saffron Walden in Cambridgeshire (close to the Essex border). The farm grows its own pumpkins for the October patch and adds plenty of family activities.

You pick your own pumpkins from the field, with a wildflower patch to pick from too. There is a play area with sandpits, pedal tractors and straw-bale pyramids, plus food trucks and coffee. Entry is by a pre-booked ticket, with tickets released on the farm’s website on 1 September each year.
