Rogate Pumpkin Patch is a large, well-established pick-your-own pumpkin patch at Slade Farm in Rogate, on the Hampshire and West Sussex border within the South Downs National Park. Run by the Davey family on a working farm, it has grown into one of southern England’s longer-running pumpkin events, combining a big field of pick-your-own pumpkins with themed attractions for children. It sits on the A272 between Petersfield and Midhurst.

The patch is part of Slade Farm, a working farm that the Davey family has run for several generations. Each year tens of thousands of pumpkins are grown across the field for the autumn season, and the event has built a strong following as a family day out. It is a ticketed event, with admission booked online in advance, and the setting in the South Downs makes it a scenic trip as well as a practical one.
Pumpkin Picking at Rogate
This is a genuine pick-your-own: you head out into the field and choose your own pumpkins, squashes and gourds from a wide range of colours and sizes. Alongside the picking, there are several themed areas for children, including a spooky walk-through called Dracula’s Estate and a cluster of themed playhouses. The admission ticket covers entry and the activities; we have not been able to confirm the exact per-pumpkin prices, so it is worth checking those on the day.

The patch runs from the second half of October into the very start of November (in 2025 it ran from 17 October to 2 November), open daily with timed entry. In 2025 admission was around £9 to £10 per person depending on the day, with under-2s free; prices for the coming season may differ, so check when booking. Parking is free.
