Streamvale Open Farm at Dundonald, on the edge of Belfast, runs a large pumpkin patch experience each October, which it bills as one of the original and best in Northern Ireland. You take a mini wheelbarrow and choose your own from thousands of pumpkins, then carve them at a marquee staffed by professional carvers, all wrapped in a Halloween day out at the working farm. It is a ticketed, pre-booked event.
About Streamvale Open Farm
Streamvale is a working open farm at Dundonald, just outside Belfast, with dairy animals and family attractions. Each October it runs its Pumpkin Patch Experience, a substantial Halloween event combining pumpkin choosing and carving with farm activities.
The Pumpkin Patch Experience
You take a mini wheelbarrow and choose your own from thousands of pumpkins in the patch, then take them to the carving marquee where professional carvers are on hand. Alongside the pumpkins there is a haunted house, a spooky disco, barrel rides, animal interactions, mask-making and a sweet shop. It is a ticketed event, and you cannot pay at the gate, so book ahead.
