The Pumpkin House at Brookhill Farm, Thursford, near Fakenham in Norfolk, is a “pumpkin picking with a twist”: you choose your pumpkins from inside a wooden house decorated with over a thousand pumpkins, rather than from an open field. With an autumn market, food trucks and family activities, it is a popular north Norfolk Halloween outing, free to enter.
About The Pumpkin House
The Pumpkin House runs at Brookhill Farm on the A148 between Fakenham and Holt, a farm that also runs a summer maize maze and adventure golf. Its autumn attraction is a decorated wooden “pumpkin house” filled with pumpkins to choose from.
The Pumpkin House
Rather than picking from a field, you select your pumpkins from inside a wooden house decorated with more than a thousand pumpkins, priced by size. We have not been able to confirm whether the pumpkins are grown at the farm, so it is best thought of as a “choose your own” pumpkin experience. There is no entry fee and no booking required (except on a special Medieval Weekend), with an autumn market, food trucks, face painting and gourds.
Opening Times & Prices
The Pumpkin House runs on October weekends and through half-term (in 2025 on 11 to 12 and 18 to 19 October, then daily 24 to 31 October, 10am to 4pm). There is no entry fee, and pumpkins are priced by size. No booking is required (except the Medieval Weekend). The dates for the coming season had not been published at the time of writing.
