Pumpkin Picking at Thornton Hall
You grab a barrow and walk into the outdoor pumpkin patch to pick your own, with the pumpkins purchased on the day (around £3.50 each in recent years) on top of admission. The patch is marketed as mud-free, and there is a dedicated carving area on site. We have not been able to confirm whether the pumpkins are grown at Thornton Hall itself, so it is worth checking if that matters to you.

The pumpkin event runs across October (in 2025 from 5 to 31 October on selected weekdays and all weekends), 10am to 4:30pm. Admission is the farm-park ticket (adults from around £5.95, children from £4.95, cheaper booked online), with the pumpkins paid for separately. Pre-booking is recommended. The dates and current per-pumpkin price for the coming season had not been confirmed at the time of writing.
