Redcliffe Farm at Lebberston, near Scarborough, runs an annual Pumpkin Festival each October with a genuine pick-your-own field. You borrow a wheelbarrow, head into the patch to pick your own field-grown pumpkins, and can carve them in an undercover barn. With low-cost entry and a cafe on site, it is a popular family Halloween outing on the Yorkshire coast.

Redcliffe Farm is a farm and farm shop at Lebberston, between Scarborough and Filey, whose autumn Pumpkin Festival has become a well-known local fixture. The pumpkins are grown in the farm’s own field.
Pumpkin Picking at Redcliffe Farm
You pick your own field-grown pumpkins, with wheelbarrows provided to carry them, and there is an undercover Carving Barn if you want to carve on site. Pumpkins are priced by size, from around £1 for the smallest up to about £20 for the largest, with a typical large pumpkin around £5. There is a small entry charge during the main festival.
Opening Times & Prices
The Pumpkin Festival runs across October (in 2025, early picking weekends on 11 to 12 and 18 to 19 October with no admission charge, then the main festival 25 to 31 October, 10am to 4pm daily). Entry during the main festival has been around £1 per person, with pumpkins priced separately by size. No advance booking is required. The dates for the coming season had not been published at the time of writing.
